The 15th Annual Lumana‘i Scholarship Awards Banquet was held on April 21 at Central Union Church. Graduating Samoan youth were recognized for their academic achievements, leadership and community service in various award categories. To date, more than $147,000 has been awarded to 259 scholars.

"When you look around the table, you see the next generation of Samoan doctors and politicians," said keynote speaker Wilson Unga, an inaugural Lumana‘i scholar and deputy prosecuting attorney. "We may even have the future president of America sitting in our midst."
