Friend Peace Scholarship

Income from the Friend Peace Scholarship Fund provides scholarships and study grants that help Christian students preparing for definite Christian work, and for such other purposes as determined by the Board of Trustees.

Edith H. Wolfe Memorial Scholarship

Woman's Board of Missions | Supports the educational purposes of women and children throughout the Pacific, especially but not exclusive to those of Hawaiian lineage.  The scholarship is open to all women with a high school diploma or GED pursuing higher education.

UCC Scholarships and Grants

 

Overview of available scholarships & grants

 

The UCC offers a variety of individual scholarships and program grants. All online application forms open on December 1 each year and close on March 1 of the following year. To learn more about these scholarships and grants, and to apply, click HERE.

CENTRAL UNION CHURCH SCHOLARSHIPS

The Women's League of Central Union Church is pleased to offer two scholarship opportunities to assist those attending (or planning to attend) higher education programs. Both grants are awarded based on character, scholarship, evidence of financial need, and community service. Previous awards ranged from $1000 to $2000* and prior recipients are eligible to reapply.
 

  • The KENNETH O. and DORIS A. REWICK EDUCATIONAL AID FUND is awarded to students from Hawai'i enrolled (or who will be enrolled) in any accredited school for undergraduate or graduate college training, or for other specialized training beyond high school and includes full-time, part-time or online students.
     

  • The RUTH C. SCUDDER SCHOLARSHIP is awarded to a female of Christian affiliation from Hawai'i who is a student within the University of Hawai'i system. Preference is given to United Church of Christ members and upperclass students.

 
Applications will be accepted through the ScholarsApp online platform beginning in December. Visit https://scholarsapp.com/ to create an account and for additional information. Please email cucwlscholarship@gmail.com with any questions. Applications are due in February.
 
*Award amounts may vary from year to year and are per the discretion of the Women's League.

Central Union's Deacon’s Theological Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance to students who are preparing for service as Christian ministers. The primary focus will be to grant tuition assistance, up to $5,000, for students who are enrolled in accredited graduate schools pursuing a Master of Divinity degree.

 

There is one granting cycle per year. Applications must be presented to the committee by January 31 for the start of the fall academic year. A decision will be made by the DTSF Committee and communicated to the applicant by March 31.
