Ecclesiastes 11:9 Young people, it’s wonderful to be young! Enjoy every minute of it. Do everything you want to do; take it all in. But remember that you must give an account to God for everything you do.

Aloha e Churches!
The Hawai‘i Conference United Church of Christ invites youth from our Conference to participate in the Youth Track of this year’s ‘Aha Pae‘āina on Kaua‘i. The event will take place from Wednesday, June 11, to Saturday, June 14, 2025. Youth will spend two days at the Waineke Cabins in Koke‘e before traveling down to Kapa‘a on Friday, June 13, to participate in the ‘Aha Makua portion of the ‘Aha Pae‘āina. In Kapa‘a, youth will be housed at Kapa‘a United Church of Christ and Kapa‘a First Hawaiian Church. They will engage in activities to deepen their faith, strengthen their connections with God and each other, and have fun!
Cost per youth will be $50 which includes everything they’ll need—airfare/transportation, housing, meals, and registration for the ‘Aha Makua.
Due to our limited capacity, we are currently accepting a maximum of 30 youth participants (currently in 6th-12th grade as of April 2025) for the Youth Track. These youth participants may or may not be delegates of their churches. (Note: All HCUCC churches are allowed one youth delegate at the ‘Aha Makua.) All youth must be endorsed by their Church/Association (i.e. pastor’s signature required) to participate in the Youth Track.
Registration Guidelines: Priorities & Deadlines
In consideration of fairness, we’ve adjusted our selection process:
Churches should submit the completed registration packet for ONE youth participant by Monday, April 7 (postmarked). We will start by accepting one youth per church, up to 30 youth.
If more than 30 registrations are received, a lottery system will be used to select participants.
How to Register

Based on the number of slots remaining, a lottery system will be used to fill remaining slots with the extra names provided on the List of Additional Participants (included in the registration packet.
