Churches Participate in Honolulu Pride Parade
The month of October is LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender) History Month and also when Honolulu celebrates "Pride" with the annual pride parade through Waikiki organized by the Hawai‘i LGBT Legacy Foundation.
In this year's pride parade, at least five of our UCC churches on O‘ahu were represented. Church of the Crossroads, an Open and Affirming congregation, was present as usual. Central Union Church and United Church of Christ Judd Street participated for the second year, alongside Nu‘uanu Congregational Church who joined the parade for the first time.
It was a colorful celebration of diversity and inclusion, giving churches the opportunity to boldly share God's love in the community!
